MIXED MEDIA JEWELLERY 09.00 - 12.00

Experiment with a wide variety of creative processes to produce your own individual designer jewellery. Techniques from beadwork to working with ‘found’ objects, learning composition and design to achieve professional results. You will leave with your own custom made necklace, bracelet or earings, all materials and fittings supplied. No experience necessary.


FOOTSTOOL UPHOLSTERY PROJECT 09.15 -16.00

This one day workshop takes you through the basics of modern upholstery learning how to upholster a small footstool professionally. The footstool frame and all materials will be supplied, but a piece of top fabric at least 80cm x 80cm should be brought along on the day to complete your footstool. A small selection of your own tools will be necessary, all of which are likely to be in your tool box already. Please note that a good grip and moderate strength is required for this workshop and you will be standing for most of the day. Tea and coffee available throughout the day, please bring along a packed lunch.


STAINED GLASS MOSAIC LANTERN 09.30 - 15.30

Decorate a glass lantern with coloured glass pieces to make a stunning centrepiece for a table, inside or outside. Each student will be given a lantern with four glass sides. Stained glasss pieces will then be glued onto the glass, and the spaces between filled with blackened putty. Either a tea light or LED lights can be placed inside to illuminate the lantern. All materials provided. Please bring a packed lunch.


A fun and friendly taster session for those who have never done any mosaic work before, or with very little experience. You will make a panel of mosaic depicting a row of cheerfully coloured beachhuts, made from glass mosaic tiles, using the direct method. You will make colour choices, learn about application of adhesive and placing of tiles, use of specialised tools for cutting glass tiles, grouting and cleaning. All materials and tools provided. Please bring along an apron and your packed lunch.
