SIZEWELL BEACH BEACH COMBING FRIDAY 27th SEPTEMBER 11.00-13.00
Tutor: Kate Osborne CODE: 507 £18.40
Sizewell Beach around the autumn equinox is a great spot for beachcombing, to learn about our special Suffolk shingle and the plants that live in it. It’s especially good for coralline crag, millions of years old, and full of fossils. Wrap up warm and wear suitable shoes. Sorry no dogs allowed. Meeting point advised ahead of time.
NEAR LEISTON FUNGI IDENTIFICATION TOUR FRIDAY OCTOBER 11TH 10.00 - 13.00
Tutor: Neil Mahler CODE:508 £15.70
A relaxing walk in Kenton Hills, a mixed woodland, to see what fungi species are fruiting – hopefully encompassing bracket fungi, crust fungi, puffballs and the usual agaric (cap and stem) fungi. This is not a foraging tour, but please do bring a notebook or your camera if you have one. You will need suitable clothing and walking boots. Sorry no dogs allowed. Meeting point advised approx a week before the tour .
Due to circumstances beyond our control, Bird Watching Tours with Alex Bass are not available this term, we hope to restart them again in the Spring.
