Julie is committed to lifelong learning and studies early medieval history just for the fun of it! She holds an MA in Medieval Studies and is currently working towards her PhD by research which focuses on Anglo-Saxon Childhood. She is in the process of preparing her second book for publication. She delivers talks to local groups and enjoys volunteering at Sutton Hoo.
Julie teaches history with a strong emphasis on primary source engagement and discussion. She believes the best way to understand history is to connect with the deep beliefs and motivations of past lives as well as the minutiae of their daily activities. From Bronze Age ritual to Tudor intrigue, Julie loves nothing more than sharing her passion for the past!
