SOFT FURNISHINGS AND DRESSMAKING                                                        Tutor: Sue Donlan

unfortunately this class will not start until the spring term,

please contact the office if you have any queries.

Students can be EITHER new to sewing or those wanting to learn new techniques. You will receive individual help with the project you are working on.  A good starter project would be a cushion – with a zip and piping or other decorative edging.  If wanting to learn dressmaking then a simple skirt pattern is a good idea.  The class is a sociable learning experience with plenty of opportunity to discuss ideas with other students as well as the tutor.  Many items can be constructed including curtains, blinds, cushions, garments from commercial patterns and bags. You will need to bring a basic sewing kit and material for your first project (we can provide a checklist if that would be helpful).  We provide sewing machines.
