Helen resumed her fine art practice after a career in teaching, she taught Art and Design within a local high school for many years. In 2013 she undertook her 'Advanced Printmaking' at the renowned 'Curwen Print Study Centre' Cambridge, under the guidance of Stanley Jones and Chloe Cheese. With a background in Fine Art and Printmaking, she completed her MA at: 'The Minories' Colchester in 2015 with Distinction.

 

Helen's teaching combines a variety of printmaking techniques to create 'Mixed Media Print Based Work', using the more traditional relief processes in combination with direct printing to create unique art works. She can guide you through making innovate prints using lino, wood, acetate, simple masks and collograph.

 

Helen's own body of work ranges from Site Specific, Installation to small book works, combining traditional printmaking, texts, poetry, incorporating ephemera, found and decorative objects. She works part time in a gallery which keeps her up to date with the current art scene, also working from her studio at Farm View Studios.

 

Helen is also part of The Sudbourne Park Printmakers, has exhibited throughout the Uk and Internationally. Some of her recent successes include: 3 works selected for 'The Ipswich Art Society' Exhibition in 2017 and she was the winner of 'The Peoples Choice' award at Turn The Page, Artists Book Fair in 2016 with SUC.
